WELL HAUS DETROIT

Publication
Sktechup & Enscape

Well Haus is a sophomore studio project developed in alignment with WELL Building Standards, drawing inspiration from Detroit’s architectural heritage. The café’s interior combines the bold geometry and elegance of Art Deco with the minimalist warmth of Scandinavian design, creating a healthy, adaptable environment that supports comfort, connection, and student well-being. The 2 story building stands on a residential street and resembles a home-like feel.

Sketchup & Enscape

This project was of my earliest takes on Sketchup and renderings. The project aligned with the requirements as well as restrictions of the home owner. The ranch home included 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, & a living & dining room. In the guest bedroom there’s a desk for isolated work. In the living room the dog has his dog bed and his feeding bowls in the kitchen included in the layout. The space functions better than the original layout. Theres a before and after development of the floorplan.

Wearable

The make of Halo Hand was inspired by the deep reflection of the  conciousness, the self. This creation was to be intentional in the making of wearable things. The idea was inspired by my name. My name in arabic has multiple meanings and one meaning “the flower”. Flowers are often associated with growth, beauty, and new beginnings. They represent the potential for transformation and the unfolding of one’s true potential. The name Alzahraa embodies these symbolic meanings, suggesting a person destined to blossom and flourish in life.

Fabric Samples

Sewing has allowed me to explore the different textural possibilities I can create. This perspective has altered the way I approach materials within my projects and everyday life. Learning the creation of the material and where they originate has made me realize the importance of understanding their use and functionality.
